Our Commitment to Reintegration
At Unity Foundation, our mission is to bring the community and formerly incarcerated individuals together in unity. We offer sewing, upholstery, and embroidery classes to the public for a fee, welcoming anyone interested in learning these valuable skills. For individuals with a felony background, these same trades are taught through paid, on-the-job learning opportunities, providing both employment and mentorship.
Importantly, the fees paid by public participants are treated as donations that directly support our mission. Every dollar helps fund paid job training, purchase materials, expand our programs, and provide additional resources for justice-involved individuals working to rebuild their lives. By taking a class, you’re not just learning a new skill—you’re making a meaningful contribution to second chances and a stronger, more inclusive community.
By inviting the public and returning citizens to learn and create side by side, Unity Foundation fosters genuine connections and mutual understanding. Our goal is to help justice-involved individuals feel accepted and empowered, while giving the broader community a chance to see their talents, break down barriers, and experience the power of unity in action. Through shared learning and collaboration, we are building a brighter future for all.
